“I’m so angry at you right now!”

“Remember who you are, Bonnie.”

“Why did you even bring me here? This is ridiculous!”

“Get your head out of your ass, Bonnie.”

This was the most recent conversation between me and God. Like a defiant teenager, I’ve been stomping around and yelling and hurling accusations at Him.

He could have struck me with lightening. I wouldn’t have dodged it either. In fact, I would have welcomed it. Then, none of this would even matter anymore.

He didn’t strike me down. He didn’t even clap back with a list of all the things I’ve ever done wrong. No. God is too classy for that. He doesn’t keep score. He went for the ace.

While I was railing against Him about all the ways I feel like He doesn’t care about me anymore, He was assembling an army of people to directly defy my logic.

Message after message after message found its way into my inbox, into my phone, onto my wall, and into my ears. Each one bringing the same words.

“Get your head out of your ass, Bonnie.”

“Remember who you are, Bonnie.”

I’m grossly paraphrasing here, but this is essentially what’s being communicated to me. It seems that people have lined up to remind me of who I am, and why I’m here. All of them are admonishing me, and calling me to action. All of them said all of these things with so much love and care that I could physically feel a change in my atmosphere.

When the children of God rise up, and speak His truth to one another, the foundations of the Earth begin to shift. The gates of Hell itself begin to quake as the kingdom of heaven advances against it.

NEVER, EVER underestimate the power of your words!!! Encourage those around you, and speak LIFE into their situation! You never know how much that will impact their reality.

This morning, I have hope. I haven’t felt that in a long time. God never stopped caring. I just stopped paying attention. Don’t make the same mistake.
